The Rock Hill Printing and Finishing Company, known locally as “The Bleachery” was one the nations largest textile finishing plants at it’s height. The Rock Hill plant bleached, dyed, printed and finished cloth and employed nearly 5,000 workers at its height in 1965. The plant site was placed on the National Register of Historic places in 2013.
